We want to say thank you to one of our special rescue friends who had the courage to do the right thing today and call the authorities in a hoarding & neglect case. It's never easy to do these things, especially when you know and care about the person. As Dr. MLK said "It's always the right time to do the right thing."

The cat in the picture had a lot of discharge from his eyes and could barely breathe from the mucus in his nose. He clearly hadn't moved from that spot in a very long time. The medicine cabinet and mirror were completely covered in his mucus and discharge. Her excuse is that he's fine but has non-contagious herpes. He actually has a very serious URI.

Due to the age and health of the person that was living in that condition she will be placed in assisted living. The trailer has to be condemned, it has floors falling thru. The lady that had to make the call has never been in that position before and felt horrible for turning her in, but she had been unable to even move for a few days and the dogs had not been fed.
