HOARDING
2016-01-08

****URGENT SITUATION***** RESCUES PLEASE REACH OUT TO FOSTERS. Is this what a rescue organization looks like? Absolutely NOT. This is not how dogs, puppies, and cats should be living. There are well over 30 animals in this small barn that has no AC. There were also dogs in a van on the property with no AC but the Windows down. Is that safe? Absolutely not either. She has 7 days to re-home these dogs. I am here to help her today but she wants 7 days to pass then I can help her. We brought a scanner and she won't let us check to see if the dogs are chipped either. All I am here to do is HELP her HELP these dogs. She is claiming she is not a hoarder. What does this look like? She won't surrender dogs or allow us to help her right now. I called her yesterday and spoke with her and went the nice route..Never here to destroy someone's character or image. But this is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. K94U is not a registered 501c3-her paperwork has been expired for over a year. THIS IS A HOARDING SITUATION. We need to help this "rescuer." After 7 days I will be there to help her. If any rescuer, foster, adopter is willing to help PLEASE do not hesitate to reach out. I need all the help I can get. She keeps claiming she has volunteers.. Supporters.. Etc. she says she sent 5 dogs to fosters and 2 more today. We even offered to take a few puppies but she refused to even let us see them. What does that tell you?? But we know for a fact it is over 30 dogs in this one small barn. If you are willing to help please PM me.

Dogs held in small cages at Parkland dog rescue ordered to be removed
K94U Dog Rescue director given 7 days to remove dogs from property
January 08, 2016

PARKLAND, Fla. - The director of a dog-rescue business has been ordered to remove all dogs from its Parkland property within seven days after the dogs were found to be stacked in small cages.

According to an incident report, a Coral Springs fire inspector visited the Broward Sheriff's Office Parkland district office on Thursday to report the business that she believed had unhealthy conditions for the animals.

Inspector Lici Merrit told deputies that she was conducting an inspection at the K94U Dog Rescue at 6901 NW 84th Ave. and noticed an area that had many caged dogs.

Merrit acknowledged that the dogs appeared to be in good health and saw numerous medications for the dogs at the property. She said there was a strong animal smell, but did not notice any feces.

According to an incident report, deputies visited the dog rescue later in the day and found 40 to 60 dogs in stacked cages in a small barn-like structure.

All dogs appeared to be in good health, but were confined in a small space.

The dog rescue's director, Delcie Cullin, was ordered to remove the dogs from the property within seven days.
